• Autorun Disabler: menonaktifkan fungsi Autorun pada drive tertentu atau semua drive sehingga mencegah penularan virus melalui manipulasi autorun.
• Autorun Remover: menghapus file autorun yang ditemui pada drive system maupun USB.
• Delete On Reboot: menghapus file yang dipilih pada reboot selanjutnya, berguna untuk menghapus file yang diproteksi oleh process tertentu sehingga tidak dapat dihapus.
• Duplicate Files Finder: mencari file yang sama berdasarkan karakteristik tertentu sesuai dengan metode deteksi yang dipilih.
• Registry Fixer: memperbaiki registry Windows yang sering dimanipulasi oleh virus.
• Secure Delete: menghapus file dengan aman sehingga tidak dapat di-recover/undelete.
• Task Manager: menampilkan process yang sedang aktif di memory dan menghentikannya jika diperlukan.
•  TCP Viewer: menampilkan koneksi TCP sehingga dapat memantau process mencurigakan seperti virus yang diam-diam menggunakan koneksi Internet.

Video: Descending Brazil's Rio Mambucaba River

Earlier this year, expedition kayakers Ben Stookesberry, Chris Korbulic, and Pedro Oliva set out to take on Brazil's treacherous Mambucaba River, a powerful run that drops more than 4000 feet over a distance of 20 miles. The three men made the first descent of the upper portions of the river, discovering massive drops, nearly impassable jungle, and rugged, remote terrain that turned the experience into a mix of both canyoneering and whitewater paddling.

In the video below, you get the team's report on what they found along the Mambucaba and a glimpse at a part of the world that few ever have the opportunity to see. This is kayak exploration at its finest and it is an amazing thing to see.

Antarctic History: Scott Heads South

While we're on the subject of Antarctica this morning, I wanted to take a moment to acknowledge another  important date in the history of the Amundsen-Scott South Pole Race. A couple of weeks back I wrote a piece about Amundsen setting off on his journey, and today marks the 100 year anniversary of Robert Falcon Scott beginning his fateful trek to the South Pole as well.

When Scott set off from England to start his polar journey, he actually had no idea that he would end up in a race with Amundsen. In early 1910, the Norwegian had yet to declare his intentions regarding the South Pole, and in fact had spent the previous few years exploring the north polar regions. Scott didn't know that Amundsen had started south until October of that year, when he received Amundsen's telegram declaring "Beg to inform you Fram proceeding Antarctic -- Amundsen." If with that news however, Scott felt that he had a head start on his rival, and would still beat him to the pole.

A series of misfortunes doomed the expedition in the early going however, as Scott's ship, the Terra Nova, spent twenty days trapped in the pack-ice and harsh weather conditions hampered preparations for the start of the journey. On top of that, Scott had elected to put his faith in ponies, which were sturdy pack animals in other environments, but didn't adapt well to the cold and snow of the Antarctic.

Still, Scott remained undaunted and prepared to start as planned. He knew he faced a formidable rival in Amundsen, but the Norwegian had elected to take a new, unexplored route, to the Pole, while Scott himself was traveling along a path that had been pioneered by his countryman Ernest Shackleton a few years earlier. He felt that the knowledge of the trail would mean that he could travel faster and with fewer obstacles.

When he left for the Pole on November 1st, 1911, Scott took with him a mix of motorized transportation, dogs, and horses. All of these modes of transportation traveled at different rates of speed however and their exact roles in the final push for the Pole remained unknown. These logistical issues would later prove to be a problem for the entire team, but at the out-set of the expedition, Scott and his men were optimistic and hopeful that they would plant the British flag at the Pole for the honor of the entire Empire.

Little did he know that his story would become one of the most tragic in the history of exploration and adventure.

Antarctica 2011: More Teams Set Off

Now that the Antarctic season is officially underway for another year, I thought I'd mention a few more teams that are now on the ice and are either already making their way south or are preparing to get underway. As I've said on more than one occasion, it is going to be a very busy year at the bottom of the world, and the South Pole will see more visitors than normal. Considering that it has now been 100 years since Roald Amundsen and Robert Falcon Scott raced to that point, it seems only natural that we should commemorate that historic occasion.

As you would probably suspect, there are a number of Norwegian teams following Amundsen's route to the Pole, several of which are now underway. They are hoping to complete their journey by December 14, the same date that Amundsen arrived. Those teams include the Centenary Expedition to the South Pole, which officially started the journey today, and the South Pole 1911-2011 team, which arrived on the ice over the weekend, but hasn't updated their status since. Steffen Dhal has also gotten underway, and he reports stiff winds and very cold temperatures thus far.

One of the more interesting expeditions this season will be the Scott-Amundsen Centenary Race 2011-12, which will consist of two teams taking different routes to the Pole. The Amundsen Team, which will be led by Henry Worsley, will set out from the Bay of Whales and will cross the Ross Ice Shelf, and ascend the Axel Heiberg Glacier. The other squad, dubbed the Scott Team, will be led by Mark Langridge, who will take his team from Cape Evans, up the Beardmore Glacier. The members of both teams are currently at the Union Glacier Camp, where they are preparing their gear and getting read to begin their individual treks. The entire expedition is expected to take roughly 70 days to complete, with both teams arriving at the Pole in early January.

Veteran polar explorer Felicity Aston is back in the Antarctic, this time to attempt to become the first woman to cross the continent solo and unsupported. She'll start on the Ross Ice Shelf and head to the Pole, before making her way back to Hercules Inlet. She expects her journey to take about 70-days as well, covering 1700km (1056 miles) in the process. Similarly, Aussie Mark George plans to ski solo and unsupported to the South Pole, then make the return trip via kite ski. Polar legend Richard Weber will lead a team on 35-day adventure from the Filchner Ice Shelf to the South Pole. They'll travel by skis from the Messner Start and later kite ski back to Hercules.

I'll add information on other expeditions and updates from Mt. Vinson, as they begin to take shape. It is going to be a very interesting season in the Antarctica, and I'm glad that it's officially underway at last.
