Bailey Qualifies for State Championships

Congratulations to Michelle Bailey on qualifying for the NCHSAA State Cross-Country Championships at Tanglewood Park in Winston-Salem on Nov.7th at 3:30pm.


She finished 7th in the Regionals this past Sat. Good Luck Michelle.


Cross Country Finishes Season in Conference Meet

It was a up and down season for the Trojan Cross Country team, however, the Trojans continued to have great showings throughout the course of the season and the highlight of the season, had to be Senior runner, Michelle Bailey.

Garner concluded their season earlier this week in the GNRC meet at East Wake and while both the girls and boys teams finished fifth in the meet Tuesday, Michelle Bailey continued her dominance by stunning the favor West Johnston runner to finish first over all.

Congratulations to the Trojans on a great season!

On their final match of the year, both the boys and girls Cross Country team gave a great effort and came very close to victory, however, they were edged by Harnett Central.

Cross Country Downs East Wake

The Garner Girls' Cross Country team defeated East Wake at Wednesday's meet at Lake Benson, while the Boy's team was narrowly defeated by 1 point.

Cross Country Has Another Great Showing

The Garner Cross Country team was back in action Wednesday afternoon at Lake Benson Park as they took on Southeast Raleigh, and Garner would have another great showing as the boys took home the win, while the girls ran another competitive match.

Mike Brown finished 2nd, Taylor Brunson 4th for the boys, while Michelle Bailey finished first for the girls.

The Garner boys team defeated Southeast Raleigh in a very close match. It was decided by the 6th place finishers: Garner 38 Southeast 42

The Garner girls fell short, but gave it a great effort!

Top Garner finishers boys: Mike Brown 17:45 and Taylor Brunson 17:57

Top Garner finishers girls: Michelle Bailey 19:56 and Mckenzie Bennett 25:41

Cross Country Starts Season

The girls cross country team tied for 2nd while the boys team placed 3rd ( in the Millbrook Invitational last Wednesday, Aug 19.

Michelle Bailey placed 3rd overall for girls, Taylor Brunson placed 6th overall for boys. Both team are back in action at home on September 2nd at 5:00.

Trojan Football Officially 'Kicks-Off'

The Football season is officially under way for the Trojans as football practice began Saturday morning with over 100 students trying out for Football in 2009.

The Trojan Sports Network was on hand for the first day of practice and previewed the upcoming Football season as well as the other fall sports and you can listen to the broadcast HERE.


All other fall sports will begin practice next week.
